Violet's Story

Violet is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption application to learn more about her and schedule an introduction, or email adopt@onetail.org if you've already submitted your application.

Violet is:
Spayed: Yes!
Up to date on vaccines: Yes!
Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized

More about Violet:
Housebroken: Yes!
Crate trained: She has done well with free roam when home alone!
Leash walking: She is reactive to other dogs when on leash, and will bark and pull when she encounters them on walks. She will need to keep working on this, and may do best in a quieter neighborhood.
Dog social: No, she would prefer to be the only dog in her future home.
Cat social: Not a match
Kid friendly: She has done well in brief interactions with respectful older kids

Violet likes:
- Sitting on your lap when you need emotional support during long Zoom meetings
- Stuffed toys, Lickimats, and her beloved Snoop toy
- Napping on her favorite blanket

Violet loves love. She's an incredibly flexible dog and will mold to your routine, especially when it comes to hanging around the house, but she loves any time she gets to be close to you and get lots of pets. In her natural state, Violet's ears are perpetually positioned with one flopped over and one at alert. She goes from being very playful to being asleep within seconds - and when she's sleeping you can often find her little teeth and tongue are showing. While she is happy to share everything with you, she prefers not to share a home with other dogs. She'll be content in any home that can give her lots of love and attention and allow her to be the only pup in the house.

Violet has been taking supplements for joint health as she has a history of luxating patellas. She has been taking behavior support medication to aid in her training goals.

Violet's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous supporter, so her adopter can spoil her a little extra!

Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/

*** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***
