Violet's Story
Violet just can't seem to catch a break, but we're determined to change her story.
When Violet was just a pup, she was found tied to a pole outside a building and left behind. Queen City Pitties stepped in, brought her to safety, and she found what we hoped would be her forever home. A few years later, through no fault of her own, Violet was surrendered when her adopter had a health crisis and he could no longer care for her.
Now Violet is about 4yrs old and living in boarding, waiting and wondering when someone will choose her again.
This tiny pittie packs a whole lot of personality into a little body. She's energetic, athletic, and always ready for adventure. Think "pittie on a pogo stick" with a heart of gold. Violet would thrive with an active family committed to giving her plenty of exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to keep her smart brain engaged.

When the adventures are over, Violet is all about the snuggles. She adores people. One of her favorite traditions is sharing an apple with her favorite volunteer.

Violet also loves hitting the trails and would make an amazing hiking companion. Whether it's a weekend hike or a daily walk around the neighborhood, she's happiest when she's out exploring with her person.
Because Violet hasn't had much opportunity to socialize with other dogs recently, we're not entirely sure what she'd think about a canine roommate. We believe she could do well with the right dog and slow introductions.

Could you be the one to give Violet the fresh start she deserves? Foster, foster-to-adopt, or adopt. She'll repay you with endless love, adventure, and maybe a few apple slices shared between friends.
