Meet Quiet Violet! This girl doesn't bark, so if you need a loud guard dog, you'll have to look elsewhere. Violet actually "speaks" rather than barks, and usually for mealtime. Violet is searching for her retirement home as she's around 9 years young now. She does well with short walks as she's had two TPLO surgeries, but it doesn't stop her from playing with squeaky balls in the yard! Off leash, she is Miss Congeniality with other dogs and people alike. Treats, food and squeaky toys are all Violet's favourite things! She's also very clean and house trained. Violet's dreamhome wishlist: > A rural or suburban home. Violet is good with cows and horses, but not a fan of big city life. > A home with a fully fenced yard as Violet is accustomed to having her own secure outdoor space. > Preferably a home with another balanced dog. > A mature home without young children (older teens okay). > Someone who works from home or is retired to ensure Violet gets enough "me" time. > Someone who wants a lifelong companion that will cherish Violet the way she'll cherish them! Doggytime Canine Care & Rescue's Adoption Policy

1. SUBMIT APPLICATION Adoption Application is found on our website at www.doggytime.net. 2. INTERVIEW If your Application is approved, we will email you to arrange a Telephone Interview to review your Application and address any questions. 3. HOME CHECK A Home Visit is required and will be arranged via email, to ensure your residence will be suitable for the dog you're applying for. 4. MEET THE PET The first Meet & Greet is scheduled here at Doggytime™, or on neutral ground. If successful, Adoption proceedings begin. 5. SIGN ADOPTION CONTRACT If Meet & Greet was a success, a date will be set for you to pick up your dog. At that time, Contract will be signed and adoption fee paid. 6. TAKE THE PET HOME We offer support using our PUP PARENT SYSTEM during this time, which involves phone consults and email correspondance to help both you and your dog. ADDITIONAL ADOPTION INFO ~ Only Adoption Applications that are up to our standards will receive a reply and request for Interview. ~ Telephone Interviews can take 20 min. to 1 hour ~ Home Visits are mandatory to ensure the dog you're applying for will be comfortable at your residence. ~ Meet & Greet is usually scheduled here at Doggytime™ and cannot be rushed. We take the time to allow you and the dog you're applying for to get aquainted, take a walk together and establish a rapport. We also go over the dog's details and address any other questions at this time. ~ After your Meet & Greet, we will send you a list of required items for your potential new furry friend. You'll need to have these items in place before bringing the dog home with you. ~ Signed Adoption Contract and Paid Adoption Fee is mandatory to allow Adoption to proceed. Copy of Contract will be provided. ~ Adoption fees vary depending on dog (age, health, etc.) ~ We stand behind ALL of our dogs! Once you've taken your new furry family member home, we're still here to help you. Dogs need time to adjust to a move, and sometimes it's hard for new doggy parents. Many dogs become very stressed adjusting in their new adoptive home. Doggytime™ offers support for this transition utilizing our "Pup Parent System". The six phases of the system incorporate both telephone consultations and email correspondance, complete with exercises and "homework". This support is available with every Doggytime™ adoptable dog. We urge adopters to follow through with our system to ensure a happy and healthy outcome for these dogs. ~ Don't forget about us. We fall in love with all of our dogs and once they're gone to their Furever homes, we never forget them. We only ask for a little update once in a while. A telephone call, an email or a Facebook message is very much appreciated.
