VIOLET's Story
Hi, I'm Violet!
Mixed Breed | 9-10 months old | 30 lb

I may be a little more shy than my sister Lucy, but once I warm up, you'll see how gentle and loving I really am. Like my parents and siblings, I came to the shelter after being found abandoned, completely covered in ticks. We've all tested positive for Lyme disease, but we're getting treatment now and feeling better every day.

Even though I'm a bit reserved at first, I'm incredibly sweet and ready for a new beginning one where I can step out of my shell, away from my dog family, and into a loving human family of my own. I seem to be potty trained and do well seeing other dogs nearby. I haven't officially met new dogs or cats yet, but we'll update once I do.

I can't wait to find the person who will help me grow in confidence and discover the joy of being someone's loyal little sidekick.

Spayed/Neutered | Heartworm negative | Current on vaccinations & preventatives.

Violet did test positive for Lyme disease, and has started her 28 day antibiotic treatment. It is recommended she stay on flea/tick prevention year round and receive a Lyme vaccine every year.

Interested in meeting and possibly adopting? Please start by submitting an application here:

https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog

Once submitted, staff will review your application. If approved, we'll reach out to schedule a meet and greet! If you have other dogs, they'll need to come as well to ensure compatability.

If it's a good fit, you may take your new best friend home that same day!

We also offer a 2-week foster-to-adopt trial period to ensure it's the right match for everyone.

Adoption Hours: Mon & Sat: 11 AM 4 PM | Tue & Fri: 11 AM 5 PM | Wed: 11 AM 6 PM | Thur & Sun: CLOSED
