Vinny's Story

**Ready to let the good times roll? Meet Vinny, your soon-to-be favorite mutt!**

Vinny is a 6-year-old mixed-breed marvel weighing in at a cool 17 pounds of tail-wagging awesomeness. With six breeds in his DNA mix, he’s basically the canine version of a smoothie bowl—full of surprising flavor and totally nutritious for your heart.

Sure, Vinny’s got a tiny streak of stubbornness—he calls it “strategic negotiating”—but underneath that witty charm is a clever, loyal, and super friendly dude who’s an expert at turning strangers into besties. His favorite hobby? Cuddle patrol, followed closely by demanding snacks like a pro.

House-trained? Check. Crate-trained? Double check. Potty breaks? Vinny will ring your doorbell if he has to (okay, maybe just a bark). And about that cherry-eye? It’s his signature wink that says, “I’m unique—and proud of it! It doesn't bother me - just makes me more handsome!!!”

Vinny’s motto? “If you’ve got treats, I’m your friend for life.” Positive reinforcement is his love language, and he’s happiest when showered with belly rubs, playtime, and lots of “you’re a good boy” compliments. Bonus: he’s a social butterfly who loves other dogs and would do best in a home with adults or older kids who can handle his zoomies and zest for life.

Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind cuddle bug who’s ready to “paw-ty” and steal your heart. As Vinny himself says:

*“Why chase your tail when you can chase your dreams? Let’s make life pawsome together!”*

Ready to bring home your new best fur-iend? Tails Up Paws Down Rescue's Adoption Policy
Once you've completed your application, one of our volunteers will start the process. First we check your vet reference to confirm that current pets are up-to-date on the core vaccines - rabies and distemper and dogs are on heartworm preventative. We research past pets as well to be sure they were regularly vetted. We do this for all the animals we take into rescue and want to be sure you will do the same for them. If you rent your home, we check with your landlord to be sure you have permission to have a pet. We then call and interview you and set up a time to do a home visit. We just look to see that your home is appropriate for the type of pet you are looking to adopt. We then check your references and if all is good, you are approved to adopt! Our application can be found on our website at www.tailsuppawsdownrescue.org.
