Vinny's Story

REQUIREMENTS - Must have a secure fenced yard. Another young playful dog is preferred. Adoption applications reviewed for Chatham Kent, Windsor and Sarnia areas.

Adoption application is on our webpage - click on Adopt at top of the page - DO NOT COMPLETE ON PETFINDER - www.ckanimalrescue.com

DATE OF BIRTH: May 24, 2025

Vinny is a little pup with a big personality! He is such a playful sweetheart who loves to sleep cuddled up with his foster family at night. He can squeeze through the smallest fence gaps, so a securely fenced home is a must.

Vinny sometimes does not make the best first impression, as fear can cause him to bark or snap if people or dogs get too close too fast. Give him about an hour in a calm home and he transforms into a loving, goofy boy who adores his people.

Once he feels safe, Vinny is affectionate, fun, loving, and happiest cuddling in bed or playing nonstop with other dogs. He would absolutely thrive with another young dog in his home and would be best suited in a house rather than an apartment, since he has some barking tendencies. He loves walks, squeaky plush toys and playful bone-stealing games with his foster siblings.

Vinny is good with calm, respectful older children and loves to play with cats. Vinny does well in the car, especially if he gets a lap to sit on! He’s still working on recall and potty training and will need a patient, understanding adopter who knows that fear doesn’t define who he truly is.

With the right home, this sweet, energetic boy will be an incredibly loyal and joyful companion. CK Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adopting a rescued dog can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life! These dogs seem to know they have been given a second chance to live long, happy lives with families who will cherish them forever. Our volunteers work very hard to ensure our rescues are given that opportunity....to find their own forever families who will give them their own Happy Tail! Don't buy puppies at pet stores while shelter animals die. They want to give love and be loved too. Spay & Neutering DOES save lives. And check out our cats and kittens who are waiting for forever homes too! Please visit our website at www.ckanimalrescue.com - see our beautiful adoptable dogs and other animals available. We appreciate your support.
