VIKING's Story

Hi, I’m Viking (but everyone thinks I could be called Bandit or Panda because of my perfectly symmetrical mask). I’m a 4 y/o, 73lb, very handsome pitty boy. I was found as a stray in mid-February, and while my past is a bit of a mystery, my future goal is very clear: home, toys, snacks, repeat. I might seem a little aloof when we first meet but I just like to take a moment to get the lay of the land and do a full TSA inspection of the perimeter. But once I decide you’re my kind of human, my charm turns all the way on and I’m ready to be your new best friend. My favorite things? Toys and treats. I loooove toys and I am always ready for a game of fetch. I prefer to play with a toy in my mouth but I haven’t totally mastered carrying 2 toys at once (or at all). But with enough practice I'm sure I'll get the hang of it someday - either way I'll have a blast trying. I also love treats... a lot...and am still working on taking them gently. I can get a bit intense around food if you try to take it away from me so small kids might not be the best fit for me. The humans here say they love my enthusiasm but that they kindaaa gotta watch their fingers. Even though I have to listen to 'em bark all day, I've only gotten to hang with other dogs once since I've been here. I guess I seemed excited but was kinda hard to read. When I get adopted I'd prefer to take my time to meet other animal siblings. And bonus points: I’m potty-trained too. Basically, I’m doing my part to be an excellent house guest and an even better forever dog. If you’re looking for a playful (and handsome) companion who will win you over without even trying, I think we should meet. I’ll bring as many toys as I can manage. You bring the snacks.
