Vida's Story

Vida is a small, sweet, pretty female dog who resembles a tiny Border Collie, and might be a combination of Border Collie, Whippet and Spaniel. She’s slightly fearful but becoming more secure. She’s been spayed, and is energetic and healthy. She weighs less than 13 pounds but eats like a pig. She loves walks, and is learning to like meeting new dogs on those walks.

She is a little bit slow to trust, but once she trusts you, she's extremely affectionate and wants to be in constant contact with her human. She's accustomed to daily walks in all kinds of weather and needs that. She really likes contact with other dogs and with other people, but is socially inept at signaling her intentions. Other dogs understand her, but some people do not. Other dogs like her and understand her and are not put off by the fact that she’s overly loud when greeting them or asking them for attention. She tends to confuse dominant dogs, but has never had a problem with one.
