Victoria's Story
Victoria
Located in TX - looking for a MT foster or adopter LBS; 3 YEARS OLD

Updated Bio 07/13/25
Meet Victoria!

Victoria is a sweet and loving dog who thrives on companionship. Shes happiest when snuggled up next to her favorite person and enjoys going for walks and car rides. Her playful side shines when she has zoomies or is happily engaged with her toys. Shes also potty trained, knows basic commands, and does well in her kennel.

Victoria bonds deeply with her people but needs time and patience to build trust. When she first arrived at her foster home, she was hesitant, but with love and consistency, she blossomed into a loyal best friend. She may take longer to warm up to new people, especially men, but given time and positive interactions, she can build strong connections.

She would do best as the only pet in the home or with an experienced adopter willing to do very slow introductions with other dogs. Victoria is not suited for a home with cats.

If youre looking for an affectionate and devoted companion who just needs a little patience to show her full loving personality, Victoria could be the perfect match for you!

Original Bio:
Victoria Please read

The twisted tales of a shelter dog. The chance at a good life for a dog is purely by fate. They dont choose their owners. Their life is totally dependent on who picks them out or where they were born. Some dogs dont have the best of luck and unfortunately, that would be Victoria.

This sweet gentle soul is only two years old and has had the most difficult life. When I first saw her face it was on a post seven weeks ago, begging for a chance at life and not to be euthanized. I was tagged in the post and read where she was picked up as a stray in deplorable condition. She had mange and a tumor on her back, heartworm positive, ear infections, cuts on her body and the saddest look in her eyes. Obviously failed by her heartless owner.

It wasnt long after that I was informed that she was tagged by another Rescue. I was happy for her and moved on to help those others in need.

Fast forward to last week..

One of the shelter volunteers notified me that she had landed herself back in the shelter. Found once again as a stray with apparently no vetting done. Her mass was still there she is even skinnier now and she is lactating but no puppies. How did that happen? How did she end up back at the shelter? Why wasnt she vetted and why is she a stray? Wasnt she rescued? And she had puppies? We had to get answers. (and no Im not disclosing the rescue. Thats drama. This post is about Victoria).

When Victoria was again found as a stray her microchip lead back to the rescue and she was returned to them. Upon further research, we found out that the rescue sent the puppies to another rescue to be bottle fed because Victoria was getting even skinnier or that was their excuse. Who knows. I do know that the puppies were given to a reputable rescue and are being bottle fed and well taken care of. But what I didnt know is if Victoria herself was safe. I was worried that she wouldnt get the medical care she so desperately needs at her young age. We really wanted to help her. We wanted to give her that one chance in life to be loved.

Due to amazing network of compassionate volunteers down in Texas, we were able to contact this Rescue and ask if we could help her. Would they please relinquish her to us? The answer was yes and an amazing foster of ours jumped in to help. Victoria is to become MPP and we immediately set out a plan to get her to her amazing foster. Victoria, with the horribly sad eyes, was scared when she was picked up by a volunteer to be transported to her foster as she had no control of what humans did to her. But once she entered her compassionate fosters home you could see she felt safe. She was relieved. Not happy yet but comfortable and feeling the adoration of her foster. We were happy tho! She would receive a good meal and probably the best sleep shes had in months.

In the next few months, we will be addressing a laundry list of medical issues with the sweet house hippo. She needs her mass removed, heartworm treatment, her eyes fixed, mange adressed, and to get her to a healthy weight.

Unfortunately, this situation was led entirely by our hearts, and not by the reality of our pocketbook. But Im hoping it touches your heart too and together we can give her the life she deserves.

Please welcome Victoria to our pack

Montana Pittie Project Pledge Links
PayPal
https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/montanapittieproject
Venmo
@montanapittieproject code if needed.

#rescuedismyfavoritebreed #rescuepup #rescuedogs #pitbulls #adoptionjourney #pitbull #adoptdontshop #rescuedogsrock #pitbullsofinstagram #adoptables #adoptashelterpet

Adoption app
https://airtable.com/shrLIni4ezFku10iS

Foster app
https://airtable.com/shryOtiK5yV6ftuzP

Linktree (Has our Petfinder link under adoptable pitties!)
https://linktr.e
