She is a darling, soft little chocolate girl with shining eyes. She is apx. 1 y/o, 18#, and is believed to be a mix of Poodle and Terrier. Veronica is smart, learns tricks and commands quickly, and is treat-motivated. She already knows how to sit & shake, and walks well on a leash/harness. Veronica loves to play with toys with you, or she can entertain herself. She has just the right amount of energy to go for short or longer walks, and will happily cuddle and keep you warm to watch a movie. She just gazes into your eyes when she sits with you, and she loves to be touched. Veronica loves everyone she meets, and is great with respectful kids 8+ up. She has a very affectionate, friendly nature with people and other dogs. Veronica would prefer a family home more than not; she doesn't enjoy her crate and will sometimes bark, so apartment/condo living won't work for her. She is brushing up on house-training and doing well; she does best when she can go outside to do her business at fairly regular intervals. Dear Veronica would love someone to follow around the house and share all of her love with... special consideration will be given to families that can/will provide an alternate plan for Veronica when they are not home (doggie daycare, petsitter), rather than crating or shorter work schedules. PLEASE NOTE: Veronica will need to go to the groomer every 8 weeks or so, so she does not become matted or uncomfortable.
