Meet Vernon
Mr. Vernon is a 8 year old Hound mix who was surrendered to the shelter. He is a great dog. He is good with kids. He loves to snuggle and take naps with anyone who will lay with him. He is housebroken. He is good with dogs but not good with cats.
He is great walking on a leashl. A fenced in yard would be necessary for him unless you can walk him 5 or more miles a day - he loves to wander and sniff things so containment for him would be necessary. He can climb if you have a chain link fence.
He is what his foster has to say about him: Vernon is a great dog with lots of energy. We walk 4-5 miles a day and I think he would do more. He’s loves to visit the local farm store and really seems to like the kids that work there. He’s good with the grandkids. Can be stubborn but what can you expect from a hound. He barks a lot at home and has a strong prey drive. He hates bunnies and cats and squirrels. He’s hard to control when he sees one.
His $100.00 adoption fee includes neuter, current shots, wormed and micro-chipped.
