VENUS's Story
Meet Venus! Venus has made wonderful progress while in foster care and is truly thriving in a home environment. She is housebroken, loves car rides, and enjoys having her own space to relax—happily returning to her room after potty breaks and playtime to unwind. While she is dog selective, Venus has several dog friends and has shown continued improvement, including calmly checking out other dogs in the home when briefly given access and choosing to disengage on her own. She loves galloping around the yard, getting the occasional zoomies, and then settling in for some quiet “me time.” Venus is independent with no separation anxiety and is steadily improving on leash manners despite being strong. After spending far too long in the shelter since 2/25/25, and in foster since 3/22/25, Venus is finally able to enjoy life outside the kennels—her previous stress and medical concerns, including a suspected CCL issue, have improved significantly in foster. Venus is a fantastic dog who is ready for a patient, understanding forever home where she can continue to flourish.
