Venus is strong on the leash but improving with consistency. She’s not prone to separation anxiety and enjoys her independence, making her a great companion for someone who appreciates a confident, self-sufficient dog. <br/><br/>Venus is dog-selective—she does have a few canine friends, but careful, slow introductions are a must. In the shelter, she did show reactivity toward other dogs, especially in close or stressful environments. She had been on medication to help manage her anxiety and has made progress in a calmer home setting without the anxiety medications. Venus also has a unique gait and occasionally bunny hops with her back legs, but she’s doing well now that she is out of the kennel environment. <br/><br/>Venus would do best as the only pet in a quiet, adult-only home with a secure yard.
