Meet Velvet!<br/>Velvet is a sweet, goofy Cane Corso with a heart as big as his paws. He can be nervous in new situations and needs a moment to trust—but once he knows you, he turns into a playful, affectionate lovebug who thinks laps are meant for him.<br/><br/>This big guy has lots of energy and enjoys food puzzles, snuffle mats, chew toys, and trailing his person like a shadow. He’s social with other dogs, though he can be a bit excitable at first. He’s great on leash, house-trained, and sleeps quietly in his crate.<br/><br/>Velvet had cherry-eye surgery; one eye healed perfectly and the other may stay slightly noticeable, though it doesn’t bother him. He’s also working on confidence-building training and has made great progress.<br/><br/>While he hasn’t spent much time around young kids, Velvet could do well with dog-savvy children who understand how to interact respectfully with a large, still-learning pup. Because he’s strong, energetic, and still discovering the world, he’ll do best with someone who has large-breed experience, can set gentle boundaries, and is excited to provide daily exercise and structure.<br/><br/>If you’re patient, loving, and ready to help a young dog blossom, Velvet will reward you with loyalty, laughter, and endless snuggles.
