Vanilla's Story

This handsome gentleman is Vanilla. He's an 11 month old bully mix with looks AND a sweet personality.
Vanilla is a little different than your average shelter pup, he's deaf!
He's not stupid, stubborn, or ignoring you ... he just can't hear you!
The way he learns commands will need to be touch/visual VS vocal. He's very treat motivated and will sit wherever pointed for a snack!
When outside he can't hear traffic or hear you calling so we suggest a fenced yard or leash walks for his safety. He also can't hear when young children run up and start hugging him unexpectedly, he may get spooked with sudden attention while he's sleeping. Older children who know to leave him be while sleeping or gently touch to wake him would be ideal for safety's sake.
Vanilla lived indoors and did great with potty training. He met other dogs and cats and did well with them. He enjoys car rides, long walks, and sniffing all the smells!
If you're looking for a unique partner to provide for, Vanilla is the guy for you!Located at Nacogdoches Animal Services in Nacogdoches, TX
3211 SW Stallings Dr. Nacogdoches, TX 75961

For more information:
email animalservices@nactx.us or call (936) 560-5011

ADOPT: Applications can be completed online or in person at the shelter.

Adoption application: https://www.nactx.us/641/Adoption-Information

Applications processed in order received.
