Van Halen's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Meet Van Halen, he is a low riding solid boy weighing in at around 18lbs. He came all the way from Puerto Rico and is around 4 months. At first he may be a little shy but his true self is a little bit silly and a lot snuggly and sweet!

This lower energy pup loves his people and sleeps next to his foster mom all day while she works. He loves to be pet and loved on. At first he didn’t seem to fond of his energetic Jack Russell foster sister but now he enjoys her and will run around the yard with her and the other pups. He is also content to play with toys by himself but his little spurts of energy don’t last too long.

As he is on the shyer side a home with no children or older children who will respect his space will be best.

Van Halen is doing well with all the puppy things and will potty outside if let out on a schedule. He is doing well in the crate and loves snacks and treats!

Apply to meet this sweet little Rockstar today!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
