Van's Story

Hi, friends! My name is Van, which is fitting because I was found hiding underneath one at the Airways Police Station. The officers said I would have to go to the shelter if no one could take me, but thankfully, a kind human stepped up and brought me home!<br/>I am about 9 months old, weigh 40 pounds, and I am not quite full-grown. I am also heartworm negative!<br/>I am already crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained. I ride well in the car, love meeting new people, and am always ready for my next adventure!<br/>My foster says I am the goodest boy, and who am I to argue? I am affectionate, intelligent, playful, and very goofy. I love toys, wrestling, and chewing on things because I am still a puppy, after all. I have plenty of energy and personality to keep life entertaining, but I am still learning my manners. I will need a patient family ready to give me the time, attention, and training every young pup deserves.<br/>I have not yet been tested with cats, but I do great with adults, kids, and other dogs and love being out in public. <br/>Please join us in officially welcoming Van to the Streetdog family! Streetdog Foundation's Adoption Policy
<iframe src="https://www.w3schools.com"></iframe> Steps in the adoption process include: Adoption Application: to learn about potential adopters and what pups might be the best fit based on that unique home environment, whether there are other pets in the home, children, exercise space, etc. Vet Checks: to be sure that other animals in the household are up to date on routine medical care to protect both existing pets and potential streetdogs. Reference checks Home Visits: to assess the home environment for each individual dog. Many dogs are great as apartment dogs, but others may need a fenced in yard. Streetdog Foundation's adoption fee is $400. This includes current vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. Dogs are current on flea and heartworm prevention as well. Please note that our adoption area is limited to the Memphis area. In order to be considered as an adopter, you must: Be 23 years of age or older (18 and older for fostering) Have proper identification Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord (if applicable) Be willing and able to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for a pet.
