Valkyrie's Story
Meet Valkyrie!
With the most adorable ears ever—one standing tall while the other flops playfully to the side—Valkyrie rocks her own little signature style! This sweet girl is around 6-6.5 months old and currently weighs just under 45 lbs. She’s expected to grow into a medium-to-large dog, likely 50+ lbs once fully grown. While her exact breed can’t be confirmed without a DNA test, her looks suggest she may be a German Shepherd mix.

Valkyrie’s story began in June 2025, when she and her littermates were brought into an overcrowded Texas shelter. Space was tight, and they were at risk of euthanasia, but she was pulled just in time and placed into a loving foster home.

In foster care, Valkyrie has been thriving. She’s already potty trained, enjoys lounging in the air conditioning while “watching” TV, and is learning commands like sit and down with ease (especially when treats are involved!). Her foster parents describe her as affectionate, smart, and eager to please. While she may be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly and loves nothing more than exploring the yard, running around with her playmates (including her sister Faith), and curling up for some quality lap time.

Like any young pup, Valkyrie will benefit from continued training and structure as she grows. She’s making wonderful progress with crate training and has done great in a household with two adults and multiple dogs of different ages and sizes. She hasn’t had much exposure to kids or cats yet, but given her age and temperament, she could adapt well with slow, proper introductions.

Her ideal home would have an active lifestyle and access to a yard (fenced preferred but not required). While shepherd experience is a plus, it’s not necessary—what matters most is an adopter who is ready to invest in helping her continue to blossom.

Valkyrie is a bright, loving pup who deserves a family ready to guide her future—and in return, she’ll give you endless loyalty, joy, and cuddles.

Health:
Valkyrie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and on monthly preventatives. She is too young for heartworm testing but is healthy and ready to go home.

Transport Info:
All of our dogs, including Valkyrie, are currently located in Texas and will be transported only after adoption. The adoption fee includes transportation. While breed guesses are based on appearance, we encourage adopters to focus on personality, needs, and lifestyle fit—not labels.

MA License #479
