Valkyrie

Meet Valkyrie, an AKC-registered purebred German Shepherd born July 10, 2022.

Valkyrie is intelligent, athletic, affectionate, and full of classic Shepherd personality. Originally intended for search and rescue training, she loves having something to do, especially hiking and learning new tricks. Her favorite treats are peanut butter, cheese, and ice cubes.

Despite all that working-dog energy, she's also a massive cuddle bug who will happily climb into your lap and make herself at home.

Valkyrie has high anxiety and a high prey drive and **does NOT do well with other dogs.** While she has tolerated some small dogs in controlled situations, she should not be adopted with the expectation that she can live or socialize with other dogs. She has been in a home with cats, but we proceed with caution.

Her ideal home will have **no other dogs and no children under 10.** An experienced home with other dogs may only be considered if they have the ability and experience to safely and keep the dogs separated with massive training in mind.

German Shepherd or working-breed experience is strongly preferred. Valkyrie has worked with a behaviorist and needs someone committed to providing continued training, structure, exercise, and enrichment.

For the right person, Valkyrie will make one heck of an adventure buddy and an equally enthusiastic couch companion.
