Valiant's Story
Pet Location: Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I'd love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me!

My Friends at Wayside say:
- I am enrolled in LIFT University. This is a program for dogs to build confidence in new situations and work on managing energy. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session.
- My motto is "play play play all day!"
- Balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, I love them all! (But stuffies are my favorite!)
- Chews, Kong-like feeders, puzzle toys—help to keep me entertained!
- I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter!

My home needs are:
- I need a home with kids 6 years old and older who will enjoy my enthusiasm for life!
- No apartments or shared living spaces for me, please! I like to use my voice when I am excited so it is recommended I not live in an apartment!
-I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies.

Check out my super cool new video! I’m a 2-year-old mixed breed, and my mission in life is simple: play, play, and then play some more! If you see me, you can bet I’ve got a toy in my mouth; it’s basically my favorite accessory. I adore my toys and I’m always looking for someone to engage in a game with me. Because I have so much lovable energy and a true "zest for life," I’m looking for an active adopter who wants a four-legged shadow to go on hikes, runs, or any outdoor adventure you can dream up.

I’m also a very proud student of the LIFT University program here at Wayside Waifs. This means I’m working hard on my focus and learning how to handle my big emotions and curiosity with confidence! I’m incredibly smart and always eager to learn something new, especially if it involves a challenge. Because I’m a guy who likes to "use his voice" to express my excitement and tell you all about my day, I’m looking for a home that isn't an apartment or a shared-wall space. I need a place where I can be my vocal, enthusiastic self without worrying the neighbors!

When it comes to other dogs, I’m a social butterfly! I absolutely love to play with my canine friends, though I do ask that we have a proper meet-and-greet before we move in together to make sure our play styles are a paw-fect match. But don't think I'm all go-go-go; once I’ve tucked myself out from a day of fun, I am a world-class snuggler. I have this funny habit of rubbing against my favorite people just like a cat to show my affection. If you have a high-energy lifestyle and a lot of love to give, I’m ready to fill your home with joy, toys, and plenty of "cat-like" leans! Are you ready to have some fun? Then what are you waiting for?! Meet me at Wayside Waifs!

Love, Valiant
