Val-Has Been Adopted's Story

Hello world! My name is Val and I was born on New Years Eve in 2019 so I am now 3 1/2 years old.

I weigh 15 lbs. and am an Apricot Doodle. Until rescue took me under their wing a month ago, I had a life as a puppy mill girl along with two sisters. My life was being in a cage... not a crate... just to have puppies. I considered myself very lucky to be released when I was still so young.

I am now living in a foster home in Cincinnati along with five other dogs... we all get along fine. I have learned to go potty outside, some basic commands and even to baby steps on the leash. I love car rides and can’t stop looking around in my dog seat. It is taking me longer to tackle steps... although just a few I don’t mind. My vet had some cats that couldn’t stop purring around me and that was fine with me too!

I am now spayed, chipped, had a dental cleaning and am up-to-date on my vaccines. Although I love it here; I am looking for my own forever home so another will have a chance to take my place. My foster mom insists on a physical fence yard, no exceptions. My nickname is "Velcro" Val as I will stick close to you although starting to be more relaxed. I have learned you cannot have too much love after all I have been through! If you think I am the girl for you, please complete an application to learn more. Thank you!

Shirley – Foster Mom.

Gets along with other dogs? Yes
Gets along with cats?
