MY AGE: 11 months 5/6 WEIGHT: approx. 7 lbs
MY STORY:
What to expect. This dog is not housebroken. This dog is very shy and won't walk on a leash. This dog will be difficult to catch in your home in the beginning and you will have to have her drag a leash. You can not let this dog out without a leash. A fenced yard is preferred, but with a dog this size, you really need a fence that is sunk into the ground and if there is a gate, most likely they can get through it. They are tiny. You will need to use an appropriate harness, like an easy walk. A twenty foot lead will be useful down the road. While there is a 3-3-3 Rule of rescue, that you can look up, with a breeder dog, it's two or three times longer or more. You need to lower your expectations and be realistic. This is not a purse dog to carry around town or go to cafes. This is not a child's pet. While young, she has not been socialized and that could possibly be a long process. Yes, this is honest. We are honest with our adopters, but they are still looking for the fairy tale. Yes, this will be a fairy tale, but in a different way. The most beautiful ever, but not one for everyone.
This pup was surrendered to us from a breeder in WI. We received twelve dogs from them on July, but they would not give us the rest. This week they agreed to give us all, but two. They are very shy, and as of this time, we've had them 48 hours, we are not able to touch them. Their behaviors at this point will be similar to a mill dog and we have good information on what to expect on our Resources page. It's very sad. They will most likely be comfortable, over time with a family, but is not a dog for children as a pet or a dog to take to cafe's or events. Comfort and stability is what they are looking for in life.
ADOPTION FEE: $550
To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION.
Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
WI License #270548.
