Una's Story

8-month-old 56-lb black spayed female Lab mix "Una"

Background.
Found as a stray in Oakland, Una was adopted out from the shelter but returned soon thereafter due to her high energy level. We found her to be an awesome dog.

Hanging out with Una -- https://youtu.be/myX8fuXcm2k

Squeaky toy gets Una's attention -- https://youtu.be/mPbIADz8DEo

Una loves the bouncing ball -- https://youtu.be/unwus5rWu4k

Playing with Una -- https://youtu.be/sLHcpKG36Nw

What our evaluator says.
Una is a sweet young Lab mix. She knows numerous commands. She is loving and affectionate. She was clearly someone's pet. Una will need work on leash manners. She is a bit jumpy so probably not best for family with small children.

What the shelter says about Una's engagement with other dogs. On day one at the shelter, Una engaged in dog play with all three playgroups. Joined a very high energy, high contact group and handled that well. Afterwards, joined a medium energy group that mostly plays chase. Lastly, joined a gentle group and was respectful and playful. She excelled in all groups.

What Una's Rescue Rep says.
Would love for Una to go to a foster home that is ready for her energy. Presence of other dogs and older children would be great. No idea how she is with cats. Will need a strong hand when on leash-walks due to her lack of obedience on leash.

Medical.
In great health. Current on vaccinations. Microchipped. Spayed.

Una is located in: Oakland

If you can foster (or might want to adopt) Una, contact Rescue Rep Dave at david.c.ely@sbcglobal.net
