Tyson's Story

Cat Friendly

Play hard, love hard? Play hard, rest hard? Play hard, relax hard? We're not really sure what Tyson wants his slogan to be, but this 10-month-old, 49 pound, tan American Staffordshire Terrier loves a burst of play time with a whole lot of cuddling!

You see, this pup will give you all the fun puppy moments without the full range of puppy work. He's made progress in so many areas that he's basically at the finish line and ready for you to offer a little patience, structure, and guidance to top off his foundational knowledge. Within no time, he's going to master all his K9 skills. Tyson is a sweet and silly boy, just waiting for all the love a furever home can offer him!

So far, Tyson has learned how to sit like a pro. He also snuggles like a pro, so very little effort on your part will be needed. He met a feline friend recently and did really well, so if you're looking for a doggy sibling for your cat, Tyson says he's your perfect match! He also gets along well with other dogs so he's happy to join your pack!

Tyson is ok for bigger kiddos but if you have small ones-this love bug doesn't quite understand his enthusiasm and size just yet. He is SO excited to meet everyone and greet them with love that he might accidentally knock the tiny ones over during his displays of affection.

Tyson loves squeaky tennis balls and just about any toy he can chase! He does perfect in a kennel and even happily sleeps there at night. He hasn't had a lot of time to learn about leash walks and would love for you to continue showing him the ropes so he can stay active. And he's almost completely mastered going outside for his bathroom breaks.

If his amazing personality hasn't fully convinced you that he's the BEST BOY, then go ahead and scroll through his adorable photos. Look at that huge smile, floppy ears, and loving eyes. This boy is ready for a little bit of play time and a whole lot of love!

Tyson's adoption fee is $175 and includes his neuter, microchip, and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters.

Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org

Pawsitive Tails is dedicated to matching the needs and personality of our dogs with your family. We are not in a hurry to adopt out our dogs; we want to make sure the match is perfect for everyone. All of the dogs in our rescue live in foster homes with both the human and furry members of our families. Our adoption process begins with an application which can be found under the "adopt" tab on our website, www.pawsitivetailskc.org. Please complete the form in full; the questions we ask help us to fully understand what type of dog you are looking for, and to make sure you get the very best fit. Incomplete applications will not be processed. If you do not include a vet phone number, a landlord phone number (if applicable), or 3 complete references, we cannot process your application. We will contact your Veterinarian, so please make sure to call them to release your vet history to our volunteer. &nbs
