Tyson's Story

Tyson found himself at a SW Virginia shelter last spring and due to overcrowding he found himself on the Euthanasia list. The kind folks at Scott County Humane Society pulled him even though they had no place for him to go so he ended up in boarding for almost SIX months!!! Through all his time at the shelter and in the boarding facility this boy never lost hope - hope for a family of his own - hope for someone to love him like when he was a small puppy - hope for a future outside of 4 chain link walls. Every week his rescuers would send him out to dozens of rescues with hopes they could place him in a foster home and every week for six months they heard the same thing.....he is too big, he is big AND black and he is a pit bull. Well we happen to love ALL THOSE THINGS and fell in love with his inquisitive look and beautiful auburn eyes. So we played foster dog shuffel & made room at a foster home for him.<br/>Tyson came into BRAG's rescue just in time to spend Thanksgiving with his new foster folks! This boy has fit in his foster home seemlessly!!! He is completely house trained, crate trained. LOVES dogs of all sizes and will even match his energy to different dogs playstyles. And he is a big fat snuggler - he loves to be close to his people. It breaks our hearts to know how long he spent alone in a kennel with little human contact because he literally wants to be everyone he meets new best friend! Tyson even walks well on leash!! If you are looking for an 80lb lap dog Tyson might be your guy. Tyson is up to date, heartworm negative, neutered and microchiped. He is ready for a new family - one that will never dump him.
