Ty - SPONSORED ADOPTION's Story

Ty is such a sweet little guy! He was found running from farm to farm in a rural community until he was coaxed into a building where he was finally safe. No one came forward to claim him and he had no microchip.

Ty is a 1 year old Corgi with an incredible personality! He is very affectionate and loves to be loved on!!! He loves little kids and plays very well with them. Ty gets along well with big dogs, small dogs and even cats. Ty actually thinks he’s a big dog!! The cats in the foster home swatted him several times the first few days he was there, but he quickly learned his place and didn’t chase them after that. He would do best in a home with other pets, he loves to snuggle with another animal or with his foster mom and dad any chance he gets. He’s a very busy guy and doesn’t like being alone. Loud noises scare him. If something drops or falls he’ll go upstairs and lay on his blanket under the desk until he feels safe or someone goes up to get him. Ty loves food and treats!! He eats at the same time as the other dogs in the home and in the same area and it goes well. A few times he has had a bone or treat that one of the other dogs tried to take and he growled and showed his teeth, but there was no biting! There are plenty of dog beds in the house, but Ty prefers sleeping on the foot of his foster parent’s bed. The other dogs in the home use the doggie door to go in and out during the night and he does that too. Ty has only had a few accidents in the house. When he isn’t outside for a bathroom break, he’s sleeping and has never needed to be crated. Ty 100% needs a fence! He is small enough to squeeze through small areas in a fence or gate. The foster home will inspect the fenced area of any potential adopters for Ty. The applicant will only be approved to adopt if the fenced area is adequate to keep Ty safe. He walks well on a leash and has an AirTag on his collar just in case he gets loose. He loves ice cubes, balls, stuffies, squeaky toys and fuzzy blankets! Ty has been known to bark at the UPS truck, Fed Ex truck and any other suspicious white delivery vans.

He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. THANKS TO CORWIN (MOORHEAD, MN), THE ADOPTION FEE IS COVERED FOR QUALIFIED ADOPTERS.
