Twizzler (in New England)'s Story

3/22/26 Twizzler! We will have more pictures soon! He is a big boy, with a slightly longer, tan coat. Despite his size, he is very babyish. Like his siblings, he tends to be a little shy, but he is so full of love.
This little litter was born to a stray who took up residence in someone's garage to try to keep her babies safe. Mom is a black lab (maybe mixed with Weimeraner?). She is very shy and timid. We brought mom and babies into rescue when babies were about 3-4 weeks old.

They are about 8-9 weeks old now. These babies are so beautiful and sweet! They are not crazy energetic puppies. They are more on the chill side. They are observers, opting to sit back and check things out before diving in to new situations. I think this demonstrates intelligence on their part. They do love to play, but they also love to be picked up and held like the babies they are. We believe they will be large dogs once grown. Mom is only about 40 lbs but based on current size, we think the puppies will be bigger than her. We don't know what they are mixed with, and it is likely there are several different "candy makers" in this batch!

Twizzler is neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccine, started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention and microchipped.

He is in New England.

To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059

email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions
