Tux's Story

Name: Tux
Breed: boxer mix
Gender: Male
Age: 3

Good with dogs (big+small?): Unsure but I believe he would do well with a proper intro.

Good with cats: Unsure

Good with kids? (If so, what ages): Amazing with kids. My boys are 6, 6, and 4.

Good with men: Yes but not a fan of hats.

Crate trained: No but working on it.

Doggy door trained: Unsure. Tux will scratch at the door when he wants to go out.

Leash trained: Yes but will definitely need some more work in this area.

Knows any tricks: So far sit, lay down, and release. Working on his recall.

Likes: Loves tug of war, balls, ropes, bones and chews. Loves his people and kids. Loves scratches, belly rubs and his blanket. Also loves bubbles, cheese, whipped cream and sweet potato.

Dislikes: People with hats, the vacuum, and loud sudden noises. Does not like being near the garage door when it opens or closes. Thunder and fireworks according to his previous family.

Must haves: Blanket, rope toys, a bone, chews, a family with patience while he acclimates and daily EXERCISE!

Apartment dog: Could be as long as he gets some good intense play time outside every day.

Fun facts: Tux has one white claw. Tux believes he’s the size a small dog the way he tries to curl up and sit on your lap. Typical curled up kidney bean boxer walk when he’s excited.

Ideal home: I would say he would thrive in a home where one parent stays home or works from home. He’s not a fan of being kenneled for long periods of time and he seems to be calmer when his people are near. Tux would benefit with a large backyard to run his zoomies and energy off. Tux loves kids and is the best protector. He will need someone patient to continue working through his separation anxiety. Tux is a very smart and sweet boy!

Adopt below!
https://forms.gle/7dTuG94nZKd839c2A
