He is a 6-7 month Border Collie/mix, about 30 lbs. Tux was found as a stray at 3 1/2mos, taken to a vet clinic, in rural Kansas. He was adopted to a family with kids but returned because he was too much work.<br/><br/>Tux was brought into rescue and absolutely thriving in his foster home. Tux is happy go lucky, loves every human he has encountered, and loves all dogs. He was cat tested in the vet clinic, showing no interest. He LOVES all toys especially squeaky toys, having one close by at all times. He loves bones, will share everything with his foster sister. He loves his foster sister, running and playing chase in the yard. He is fast and athletic, perhaps sports in his future, fly ball or agility? Tux will retrieve a ball, bring it back for you to throw again. Tux is really a blank slate, might enjoy running, camping, hiking, patio dog for coffee or lunch, family dog. He would thrive as a solo dog, or with a family looking for an addition of another friendly dog.<br/><br/>Tux walks well on a leash, has good recall, and learning commands. He is smart and eager to learn. He is treat motivated and attentive to his person, will need confidence building and positive training, and would thrive in an obedience class. He is house trained and kennel trained.<br/><br/>Foster mom says he LOVES to cuddle! Couch, chair, your lap, belly rubs, head rubs, he loves all of that. He has a great laid back off switch.<br/><br/>Tux is a gem, the whole package as a puppy, new addition to your family. He is UTD on vaccines and preventatives, and neutered.
