Turner's Story

Meet Turner! ?
Age: 2 years old

Turner is a super sweet, shy, and goofy boy with a heart full of love. He came to us from a home where he was born among many other dogs, but sadly wasn’t given much training or guidance. Despite his big size, Turner’s manners and confidence are still catching up — but he has already made incredible progress in his foster home.

When he first arrived, Turner was terrified to walk through doors and would freeze on leash, unsure of what to do. With patience and love, he now walks happily on leash and goes in and out without hesitation. He’s even learning basic commands like “sit” and working on not jumping when he gets excited.

Turner lived in foster with his outgoing sister who was always in the spotlight, and he would shy away and follow her lead. She has since been adopted, and now it’s Turner’s turn to shine! He just needs someone who understands that true rescue dogs often need time and training to become their best selves. Turner is eager to learn and overcome each new challenge, and he has already shown that he’s a resilient, loving boy who wants nothing more than a forever home.

? Turner’s Info:
• 2 years old
• Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, on monthly preventatives
• Up to date on vaccines
• Kid friendly, but still reserved with new people at first (he may bark nervously until he warms up)
• Dog friendly
• Cat reactive at the moment (needs slow introductions and guidance)

Turner will thrive with a family who can be patient and consistent with his training while showering him with love. He may be a “work in progress,” but he is well on his way to becoming a loyal and wonderful companion.

Could you be the one to give Turner the safe, loving forever home he’s been waiting for? ?
