Turkey's Story
Tripod Turkey: Turks came into rescue last fall with a badly healed broken leg/hip that he could not use. After an unsuccessful first surgery and increasing pain, he had his damaged leg amputated last winter. It was the best decision. He walked out of the vet’s office and never looked back. He runs, plays, and most importantly, he is pain free. Turks loves to sunbathe or lie in the shade looking for bugs and frogs, and watching his humans. He does chase cats out of the yard and most recently an opossum, so no cats due to prey drive. He rides great in the car and loves to cuddle with his human. He is a very special dog that has been in rescue almost a year and is now ready to be cared for in his forever home by someone that loves him as much as we do.
