Turk's Story
Turk to the rescue!

My name is Turk, short for Turkey. Yes, you guessed it: my embarrassing kennel mom really named me Turkey because I came to PAHS shortly before Thanksgiving. I actually have a lot of nicknames but they're even sillier than my real name so we'll keep those a secret for now...

Mom says that I would be an amazing candidate for the Paw Patrol squad because I am just about the sweetest and best boy you could ever ask to know. I even have Paw Patrol sheets in my kennel :D The veterinary staff reported that I am a "serial hugger" and walked around the hospital greeting everyone while there for my neuter surgery. They also stated that I was the friendliest shelter dog they have ever had as a patient! It's safe to say I am a model citizen and a pawesome representation of the resilience of shelter pets. My PAHS dad has taught me to sit, lay down, and give paw on command. Santa Paws heard that I am a bright student so he even brought me a fluent pet starter set to teach me to "talk" to my new family. I can't wait to demand extra toys and treats hehe.

As a young lad I have a lot of energy so I am searching for an active family that will provide me with adequate mental stimulation and exercise. Due to my high energy bunny hops I would do best in a home with older kids as I may accidentally tumble over younger children. I am an extremely nervous boy and was absolutely terrified of my neighbors when I first entered the kennel. As a result, I have extreme difficulties interacting with other dogs and am not prepared to share my home with another pup immediately after leaving the shelter. My interactions with kitties have been limited but I can't help but try to chase after them every time I see them.

If you are searching for an adorable sweetheart who is also a secret genius, I am DEFINITELY the one for you. Stop by the shelter and adopt me today.
