Tunia's Story

Tunia, a sweet 18 pound Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix, came to a humane society in a neighboring county in desperate shape. She had endured some sort of blow to the head that, together with a long-untreated ear infection, had eaten away some of the bone around her left eye and ear. The humane society treated her infection and started her on the way to healing. Tunia's head is a bit flat on one side, but she is a happy dog who enjoys the company of many dog and cat friends. She is recovering from her ordeal, but she still has a bad ear infection which is being treated with antibiotics. Her prognosis is good although the antibiotic therapy will need to continue for some time. Tunia loves to climb into your lap and give lots of kisses. Her temperament has not suffered from her injuries. At 8-9 years old, Tunia has a lot of life left to live and a lot of love to give. If you are interested in giving Tunia a loving home for life, please contact the Sanctuary.
