Background :

Tulip was rescued from a backyard breeder in Ontario along with her brother, who is now living in his furever home while Tulip awaits her perfect family!

Personality:

Tulip is a very active, playful and high energy puppy. She is extremely confident and playful with other dogs and absolutely loves to interact with them. She currently lives with two large dogs and has no fear playing with them and chasing after them. Tulip loves to chase toys and will often have zoomies from the excitement of playing. She is very smart, determined and food motivated which has made training easy.

Ideal Home:

Tulip is a high energy puppy and will grow into a high energy dog so she will require a home that is dedicated to meeting her needs. She will require on-going training, lots of exercise and mental enrichment as she grows and will benefit from a structured schedule and routine. Tulip loves to use her voice to communicate so she (and her future neighbours) would benefit most from a single family home with a secure fenced yard as she can be quite curious. Because she loves other dogs so much she would be very happy to have a sibling but would be fine as the only dog in the home. She has not interacted with children yet but because she can be quite mouthy and excitable she would do best with older, dog savvy children.

Training/Activity:

Tulip is very food motivated which makes her quite easy to train. She picks up commands easily and has already learned her name, ‘sit’ and ‘paw’ and is quickly mastering ‘come’, ‘stay’ and ‘turn’. She is still working on leash training and recall as she can be easily distracted when outside. Tulip is house trained and doesn't have any accidents as long as she sticks to her routine and goes out every 2-3 hours. As with most puppies her age she has a tenancy to nip so on-going training to address this will be needed to ensure she grows up to be a polite and well mannered girl.

Summary:

Tulip is just a little girl with the biggest personality! She is looking for a family that will give her lots of training and structure as well as play and adventures! She has the silliest personality and is brimming with confidence and excitement and she cannot wait to find her furever family!
