My sweet foster buddy, Tuesday , is in need of a loving Long Term Foster or Foster-to-adopt home as soon as possible. The company for which I work, is mandating my dept. return to the office 4 days a week <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Tuesday ,is a very good boy who has lots of tail wags, gentle kisses, and cuddling to share! He is a very happy boy who deserves to be adored as much as he adores his people. <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Come meet Tuesday – he will steal your heart ! <br/><br/> <br/><br/> <br/><br/>• Age: ~10 years young<br/><br/>• Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mastiff mix<br/><br/>• Weight: 59 lbs<br/><br/>• Neutered, heartworm negative, healthy heart & lungs<br/><br/>• Personality: Sweet, gentle, loyal, and easy-going, but always excited and ready to go for a car ride or walk!<br/><br/> <br/><br/>! ' !<br/><br/>• LOVES people of all ages (great with kids!)<br/><br/>• Gentle, affectionate, and loyal!<br/><br/>• Enjoys walks, car rides, and toys <br/><br/>• Great with cats (lives with two currently)<br/><br/>• Dog selective – does well with the right match <br/><br/>• Smart, treat and praise-motivated, easily redirected<br/><br/>• E-Collar trained (only needed for dog reactivity training)<br/><br/>• Lifetime support from Haven Dog Training <br/><br/>• Crate trained – sleeps great at night! Short periods during the day is best as he would prefer to be on his bed or the couch with his people!<br/><br/> <br/><br/> <br/><br/>• Arthritis in his spine and hips – well managed with daily anti-inflammatories<br/><br/>• After a year in foster, he's become protective/reactive to unfamiliar dogs outside the home. He needs slow introductions and supervision for new friends.<br/><br/> <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Tuesday would do best in a home where he isn't crated for long hours during the day. He's trustworthy left out of his crate and loves being part of his people's daily life. <br/><br/> <br/><br/>*: . () . ( ) <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Tuesday will have all the things he needs - his own large home crate, travel crate, bed, toys, bowl, food etc. <br/><br/> <br/><br/>AND, if needed, his current foster Mom will be happy to babysit for vacations etc, and/or accept him back on a short term basis for any reason. <br/><br/>Carolina Animal Network<br/><br/>Things to know about Tuesday:<br/>-------------------------------<br/>*8 Years+ old, neutered male, Labrador Retriever/Mastiff mix (~59lbs)<br/>*VERY SWEET, gentle dog! Loves ALL people / kids<br/>*Smart & Easy Going. Treat and praise motivated - easily re-directed when needed<br/>*Dogs - May be selective. Does great with both of my dogs and a neighbors (all females).<br/>*Cats - Does great with my two cats! Always recommend slow introductions and vigilant supervision for any new cat or dog friends. <br/>*LOVES being close to his people, but also is happy on his own on the couch or dog bed.<br/>*LOVES to go for walks<br/>*LOVES car rides (preferably getting dog wind and not in a crate)<br/>*Likes balls, bones, and stuffed toys<br/>*Crate trained - does very well in his crate overnight, but does like to get out for a potty break and be with his people early. Daytime crating - good about going in his crate when asked, especially with a treat and praise, but would prefer to be out with his people . <br/>*HW - (Heartworm negative test & X-rays show healthy heart & lungs!)<br/>*Would do best in a home where he is not crated and rotated on a daily basis (as he is now).<br/>*Note that Tuesday behaves beautifully if left out of the crate while you are home or gone! <br/><br/>Tuesday's Challenges: <br/>-----------------------<br/>* Arthritis in spine and back hips (you can tell he has a little difficultly jumping onto the couch if not on his anti-inflammatory meds)<br/>* Takes Rimadyl x2/day (anti-inflammatory)<br/>* Housebroken -
