Tucker's Story

Meet Tucker! Currently being fostered in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Tucker is a sweet and snuggly 5-year-old pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. This handsome guy is the perfect mix of playful and mellow he loves his daily walks, chasing after his favorite ball, and spending quality time with his humans. Tucker gets along beautifully with his foster sister and has proven himself to be a loyal, gentle companion. Whether he's lounging by your side or trotting happily by your feet, Tucker just wants to be near the people he loves. He does have some skin allergies, but theyre easily managed with a daily medication and Tucker doesnt let them slow him down for a second! He's on vet prescribed Apoquel daily and it runs about $100 per month. We are unsure of the cause of his current allergies - and they could very well be environmental or seasonal. Tucker is looking for a forever home where he can shower his family with affection, loyalty, and plenty of tail wags. Adoption Application Request Interested in adopting? GLWR is committed to giving rescue dogs the best chance at a wonderful life. To that end, we ask you to know these things: 1. The application process is not instantaneous. We are all volunteers and we move things along as quickly as possible. We need to get to know you through the application process; just like we get to know the dogs through our intake process. It is in the best interest of all involved that this be done correctly. 2. We do not hold dogs. Approved adopters have their choice of appropriate dogs for their situation. If you see a dog on the website that you would like, we cannot guarantee that that dog will still be available once your application is approved. 3. Note to Families with children: Weimaraners are large, energetic dogs who need a ton of daily exercise. They can be great family dogs, but will think nothing of knocking down toddlers to get to the door, or snatch cookies from their hands.
