Meet Tucker! Tucker is a 1 year old Labrador Retriever Hound mix weighing 34 pounds, and he’s as sweet as he is shy. He's still learning that people can be trusted (and may always be) so he won't run up to you right away. But with time, patience, and the right environment, this little guy blossoms. Once he trusts you, he will come right up to you for treats (especially if you're going to let him lick the last of your yogurt out of the bowl!) and he loves to cuddle once he knows he's safe. He sleeps snuggled in bed with his foster mom every night and springs right up in the morning to give her a kiss!<br/><br/>What really helps Tucker shine is being around other dogs. Playful pups bring out his confidence and curiosity, and having a doggy friend in the home will be the key to helping him grow. He LOVES to run around and play with his foster siblings. Do you have a dog who loves to play and wrestle in the backyard? Tucker is your dog's PERFECT MATCH! He and his foster sister love playing together all day long. Then when they come inside, they love to snuggle up on the couch for a well-deserved snooze. He is also good with friendly cats, as he is fostered with 2 of them, and would do well with older, calm children or teens. He enjoys toys (especially Nylabones), and he’s making great progress on the leash, learning the world step by step.<br/><br/>Tucker may be shyer than your average dog because of his tough start to life, but he’s a sweet soul with so much potential.
