Meet Tucker

Meet Tucker! Tucker is an adorable Golden Retriever mix who was rescued to avoid euthanasia. He is around a year and half old. Tucker is heartworm positive and will need a family willing to help him go through treatments. Tucker is friendly, outgoing and bouncy boy! He is an active boy who will love long walks and playing fetch when he finishes his heartworm treatment. Tucker would prefer to be the only pet in an adult only home.


The NAWS Dog Adoption Program operates as a rescue versus a shelter. We believe in matching the right dog with the appropriate family based on each specific dog or family's needs. To achieve this, we believe in spending the appropriate amount of time with each family to allow for enough interaction time with potential adopters. This cannot be achieved if people stop by unexpectedly to meet our dogs.
