Tucker's Story
Tucker, a 7-year-old gentleman, came to us when his owner was unable to care for him any longer. He is used to being the only pet in a quiet home, but could likely live with a calmer dog or cat that matches his energy level. He enjoys his walks but sometimes opts to skip them so he can continue napping (and can we really blame him in this weather?).

Tucker is a nice little guy who really just wants to bond with his one-and-only and live a quiet life on the couch by their side.

We do NOT respond to PetFinder inquires; we only respond to emails sent to adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org regarding adoption inquires.

We never know how quickly a pet will be adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in a pet but want to see them during our shelter open hours prior to filling out an application, we strongly recommend that you email us at adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org before visiting the shelter to ensure they are still there.

Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need.

Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
