Tucker's Story
Meet Tucker!

Tucker is a 1½-year-old Golden Doodle with a gorgeous apricot/beige coat, soulful brown eyes, and a whole lot of puppy energy packed into his 60-pound frame. Found as a stray in southern Ohio, this sweet boy is now safe with Dogworks Ohio and ready to find a home that matches his active lifestyle.

Tucker was recently groomed due to severe matting, so his coat is currently shorter—but with regular grooming and proper coat care, his beautiful doodle curls will grow back healthy and strong. Ongoing grooming will be an important commitment for his future family.

Tucker is friendly, affectionate, playful, and very curious—he truly is still an active puppy! He loves meeting new people and is always happy to soak up pets and attention. He’s a strong, energetic guy who is on the go all day, so he’ll thrive with a young person or couple who can keep up with him and provide structure, exercise, and continued training.

He gets along with other dogs and definitely wants to play, though his enthusiasm may be a bit much for calmer, older pups. Tucker is crate trained and potty trained, responds well to verbal correction and time-outs, and already knows how to sit. He’s not leash trained yet, so continued training will be important to help him be his best self.

Because of his strength and high energy level, Tucker is not a good fit for homes with young children or elderly individuals. A fenced yard is required—he would do best with a privacy fence, though he’s also okay with chain link.

Tucker will need regular grooming and an adopter committed to meeting the needs of a very active, very loving doodle. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion with big puppy vibes and a bigger heart, Tucker might be your perfect match!

Tucker will be neutered on January 6 and also brought up-to-date on his vaccinations.

Please follow the link below for his adoption application. Note: applicants must live within one hour of Toledo Ohio.

His adoption fee is $350

http://www.dogworksohio.com/adoption-application.html
