Tucker's Story
This handsome little guys name is Tucker! He is a 12 year old, male chihuahua who found his way to the shelter due to being surrendered, this was caused by unfortunate housing circumstances.

Tucker is Neutered, up to date on rabies, dhpp vaccines, tested for heartworm & tick borne diseases. On top of that microchipped and along with being professionally evaluated.

You wouldn't believe this little boy was 12 just by looking at him, Tucker is a juvenile at heart! He loves to play tug of war, don't get spooked by the noise though! He's a little competitive and loves to play the game to the fullest!

This little cuddle bug does have seasonal skin allergies. This means tucker's skin gets sensitive, itchy, and pink, because of this Tucker really only cares to go outside to just use the bathroom, after that he's back at the door trying to cuddle back under the covers with you!! Tucker really likes to use burrow beds at the shelter or a lap to roll around, cuddle, and get comfortable in!
What might the skin allergies ask from an owner, it would be beneficial for tucker to be given oral or injected allergy medication.

When it comes to kids, and other animals Tucker is shy, he isn't a fan of fast movements partly because of his age but mainly his allergies, if tucker were to be placed in a home with younger children it would have to be made apparent to go slow with tucker and be cautious with the more sensitive parts of his body, for example his paws, lower legs and lower abdomen.

Tucker's adoption will be $100.00 covering the adoption, Neuter, vaccinations, also testing for heartworm and other tick borne diseases.

Sooo, if you think you're the pawfect home for this Handsome little gentleman, contact the Blackstone Valley Animal Control at 508-883-BVAC (2822) or email aco@blackstonepolice.org. Applications can be done in advance or at the time of your meet and greet. Applications can also be found at blackstonepolice.org under the Animal Control tab.

Thank you everyone!!
Blackstone Valley Animal Control
Blackston Regional Animal Shelter
