Meet Tubby
Tubby is a 40lb bulldog that we believe is 15 months old.
She is a very sweet & funny little character. She loves belly rubs, playing with her toys and car rides ( especially the ones involve a pup cup). She is happiest when nuzzled up to her foster mom and never shys away from giving long hugs & showering her people with affection. Indoors she is relatively mellow. She’ll happily snooze on the couch ( she often lies on her back with her legs up in the air ?) but is ready to play at a moments notice.
Of course no one is perfect and this beauty for as awesome as she is, is not the exception. Unfortunately, we don't know Tubby’s first walks in life but we know something or maybe even someone made her become dangerously reactive to other dogs and unexpected outside scenarios like scooters, bikes... She loooves her walks but we try to keep them in less busy areas / times when lots of dogs are being walked on the street.
She was surrendered to a rescue but after bite incidents involving other dogs at the rescue she is now in a foster home with no animals. Because of this she wears a muzzle and will likely always have to wear this when outdoors or around other dogs. She is clever and picks up basic commands very quickly. We think with training that is implemented at her forever home she will hugely benefit in managing her fear and aggressive response.
Ideally, Tubby would thrive in a home with a patient owner who is willing to spend time working on training to allow her to further flourish.
Getting training.
New update.
