**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.<br/><br/>Trusty is an adorable 3-month-old Aussie/Collie mix with the sweetest disposition and the softest fur. He’s a gentle, sensitive pup who is slowly gaining confidence and showing more of his wonderful personality each day.<br/><br/>Trusty is crate trained and mostly potty trained—he does well when kept on a regular schedule. He can dribble a little pee when picked up for car rides or new situations, but it’s simply because he’s a nervous guy still learning that the world is safe.<br/><br/>Right now, Trusty does best going outside when he can follow a dog buddy or chase a trail of treats. He prefers having space to move at his own pace; on leash he tends to pancake and needs encouragement, so he’s still working on that skill.<br/><br/>Trusty would truly thrive in a home with another confident but gentle dog to show him the ropes. He loves other dogs, enjoys squeaky toys, and often chooses cozy hideouts like under the dining table to relax. Once he’s outside, he loves exploring and taking in the world.<br/><br/>This sweet boy is blossoming a little more every day. He will need a family willing to give him patience, understanding, and LOTS of treats as he learns that people are kind and cuddles are safe. Once he feels secure, Trusty happily leans in for pets and enjoys snuggling—always on his terms.<br/><br/>If you’re ready to help a shy, loving pup grow into his full, confident self, Trusty will reward you with loyalty, sweetness, and a whole lot of heart.<br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
