Trixie has a bit of a sad story. She came to us after her beloved owner unexpectedly passed away, leaving her confused, scared, and suddenly without the only home she had known. Through all of this, Trixie has shown nothing but sweetness and quiet affection. Trixie is around 3 years old and is a gentle, sensitive girl. She can be very shy in new settings and around unfamiliar people, but with time and patience, she settles in and slowly begins to show her personality. Watching her confidence grow has been incredibly special. She walks well on leash, is housebroken, and appears to enjoy the company of other dogs. Trixie would do best in a calm home with kids ages 12 and up, as loud environments and sudden noises can startle her. Despite everything she’s been through, Trixie remains a true sweetheart who just wants to feel safe and loved again. She deserves a warm, understanding home where she can heal, be cherished, and finally relax.
