Trixie's Story

Trixie came to us from Fedwell Farms, where her rescuer and Director passed away. We have been placing the dogs there and she came to us with Hummer.

Trixie would do best with respectful senior dogs in the family. She tolerates the other 6 dogs but doesn't want to be friends.

She's not aggressive or mean, is well-behaved, obedient, low energy, responds right away when I talk to her, and is very sweet and loving to me. She loves attention. She would do fine by herself. She's very good walking on a leash, pulls a bit but is easily corrected. She's playful (in short bursts) and loves her rubber balls. She tosses them in the air and then chases them. She brings one to me to toss, and she'll either catch it in her mouth or chase it and bring it back. She also loves big, soft chew toys. She LOVES swimming!

Trixie would be a perfect pet for a family or single person who can take her on walks a few times a week, play ball with her, and give her love and attention. She's great with adults and kids. She's a bit nervous of men initially, but warms up to them. She's not overly needy - she's happy to lie on the floor at my feet for hours when I'm on the computer. She just wants to be near her person. A very sweet and loving girl. I'm guessing she's about 8 years old and vets agree.

If you’d like to give sweet Trixie a forever home, reach out to us!

She has had full dental surgery and full veterinary work. She’s a healthy girl!

Application: www.hopeofdeliverance.org

Adoption fee: $175
