Trixie is an almost 2 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian mix girl who came in with several of her "pack" when their owner had to move.

Trixie enjoys playing with her sister Lydia, and would likely enjoy having a polite and non-dominant young and playful dog friend in her new home. Right now, Trixie needs to be fed separately from other pets as she is very food protective; this group seems to have not had very regular meals which led them to each want to protect the food they get. This is often a curable condition, but if not, it's not too hard to split up dogs at feeding time.

Trixie has experience with a goat herd, and is just great with all the people she meets, including children. She has been an outdoor dog all her life, but seems to enjoy spending time inside with staff and volunteers, so would likely benefit from having an indoor/outdoor lifestyle with a loving family.

This beautiful girl is so sweet and gentle, and believes she is a lap dog (oh our aching laps, HA). She is happy, treat-motivated, and will make a terrific companion for the lucky family who adopts her.


All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Trixie is a suggested minimum of $125 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
