Triscuit's Story

Triscuit is a sweet and spunky little chihuahua mix puppy. If you are looking for a mellow, couch potato dog this is not the dog for you. She was born around 5/1/26 and currently weighs 4.5 lbs.

Triscuit is happy, playful, lively, affectionate and smart. She has plenty of puppy energy and loves romping around the house and yard with her dog buddies. She loves having a yard to run and explore in. She likes playing with toys, chewing on her chewy bones and chasing a ball. She becomes bonded to her people and enjoys lap and couch cuddle time in the evening.

Triscuit is crate trained and doing well with house training but will require additional training in a new home. She is an alert barker and loves a yard so no apartments for her.

Due to her small size only respectful, dog savvy children over 10 are recommended. She currently lives with dogs of various sizes and seems to do best with young, playful, tolerant dogs who enjoy wrestling and playing chase. Her puppy energy can be a bit too much for some dogs. She is a fairly rough and tumble puppy and dogs who enjoy that style of play really enjoy her company. She will try to play with dog friendly cats but will chase shy kitties especially if they run. She would not do well with an overly dominant female dog.

She becomes quite bonded to her people and desires to be a large part of her familys life. She would not be happy being left home alone daily for long hours.
Tricuit likely would do well in a home with another young, friendly, playful dog to romp around with. Someone who is home the majority of the time and understands the training and energy outlet needs of a young puppy would be ideal.

Triscuit is a fun, happy and sweet little puppy who is a joy to foster. She is patiently waiting for her forever home.

Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......visit our website https://siarescuers.org/ to learn more about our rescue group and adoption process.

Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. The dogs shown on this site are in foster homes, we do not have a shelter to visit.

EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
