Trinket is a senior Chihuahua who somehow found herself alone on the streets, but you would never guess it by the way she loves. She is an absolute doll. Gentle, soft, and endlessly affectionate, Trinket’s greatest joy in life is being tucked into someone’s arms, soaking up every snuggle she can get. She is the kind of little soul who makes you slow down, smile, and feel grateful.<br/><br/>When Trinket came to us, she was emaciated and carrying a large mass on her neck. We immediately got her the care she needed. She received a full dental and is now a proud toothless wonder, and the mass was surgically removed. The results showed thyroid carcinoma, the most common thyroid tumor in dogs. The tumor was fully extracted, and due to Trinket’s age, this is not expected to significantly impact her quality of life. The difference in her comfort and spirit since surgery has been incredible. She is brighter, lighter, and clearly relieved to have that pressure gone.<br/><br/>Today, Trinket is simply a little love bug looking for a peaceful home where she can be cherished. She does not ask for much. A warm bed, gentle hands, and a heart willing to love her are all she truly needs.
