Trevor's Story
Why Choose Me?
Foster update: Trevor might be the perfect match!
He's super mellow, friendly (with people and animals), and independent. He's a very go-with-the-flow fellow, and would love an owner to chill with. While he loves pets, he doesn't mind taking his space; he's very quiet, easy-going, and easy to please!

Whether you're down for a jog, walk, nap, or adventure, Trevor's your guy. He would do great with..well anyone! He's okay to live with one or two people, or even a small family, he's not aggressive and very patient, so a child is no problem! He doesn't need a lot of attention or a backyard. He would thrive best in a laid-back and quiet environment where he has his own little space to relax. (Gentle head pats welcomed 💕)

Note: if you give him butt-scratches he'll sometimes bark and chase his tail cause he's excited.

Trevor is a nice dog who greeted me at his gate. He was calm and quiet in his kennel, but being outside in a big interaction pen with dogs barking from their kennels was a bit much for him, and he started running in circles. Maybe that was his way to relieve stress. When he stopped, I was able to distract him with a ball, and he chased it a few times.

He also let me pet him but soon was ready to go. It made me sad that Trevor was so worried in this new environment. He needs time to adjust and feel safe. He's a sweet dog who, like so many other dogs here, would rather be home with loved ones.

You can read more about this dog and check out additional photos here: https://www.accgov.com/9482/Dogs

The adoption fees, shelter schedule, a description of the rescue and adoption process, and a list of included vetting can be found at https://athenspets.net/adoption-rescue-process.

This dog is available for adoption through Athens-Clarke County Animal Services, located at 125 Buddy Christian Way, Athens, GA.
