Trenton 's Story

Trenton is incredibly well socialized. He loves his walks where he can meet new dogs and people. He is a gentleman on a leash but will stop and plead for an extra moment if he wants to catch his breath or smell a little longer. Trenton loves his walks but doesn't need to go very far since he has a little limp and some arthritis. While he is an older guy, you would never know it when he sees his neighborhood buddies (two frenchies), he puts his ears back and wags his tail in double time.

Trenton doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body - zero possessiveness or aggression with toys, food and treats. You can pick him up to move him anywhere, pull him closer to you or plop him in the tub for a bath and all with no negative reaction (if anything, he just looks at you longingly for pets, validation, and love). He craves companionship, if you are on the couch or in bed, he will try to climb up to cuddle closer to you. He has never met a stranger, he loves children, adults and dogs, you can see his smile grow as he gets the love he missed when in a shelter.

Trenton (T-bone) is silly, curious and cuddly. He wants to see inside every cabinet and closet and he is happy exploring new environments. Midday T-bone will get spurts of energy where he wants to play and once satisfied he will curl back up next to your feet or lounge outside in the sun.

He is losing his hearing which makes him extremely non-reactive to loud sounds and barking dogs. Still, he knows how to "sit", "shake" with both paws and how to "stay" with hand motions. He waits so patiently for treats, takes them slowly and is EXTREMELY GENTLE.

He is such a special guy, just looking for that forever home that will give him the love and structure he deserves. He will thrive in a house where someone is home for much of the day. Could that be your home?

If interested please fill out our on line adoption application...

http://grandpawsrescue.org/adoption-application/
