This pretty girl is looking for a home with a canine companion to run and play with! She LOVES playing with other dogs and needs a friend about her size and activity level. Boys are preferred but she definitely can get along with the right girl. Treena was purchased on a road trip through Pennsylvania by a couple who worked full time, lived in an apartment and had no idea how much exercise a Border Collie puppy needs. She has been in her foster home since she was 6 months old and has had a ton of experience with other dogs since her foster mom boards and trains dogs. Treena has had a ton of training! She’s obedience trained and is started in agility – she’s doing very well! She’s well behaved on car rides and on trips to Tractor Supply and has done well with kids and puppies. No interest in the household cats. A fenced yard is a necessity for this girl. Though she likes toys, being outside chewing sticks makes her very happy. And playing chase games with her housemates, too, of course! If you are the perfect forever home for Treena, please fill out an application and contact her foster parents at karinmaida@aol.com. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Blue Ridge Border Collie Rescue's Adoption Policy

BRBCR's adoption process requires that each of the following steps are successfully completed before meeting one of our foster dogs. The approval process typically takes 1 - 2 weeks. 1. Contact the foster parent of the dog that you are interested in to request an adoption application. 2. Fill out an adoption application on our website OR email a completed adoption application to brbcrdogs@gmail.com. 3. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a phone interview with the applicant and the applicant's veterinarian and personal references. 4. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a home visit with the applicant. Upon approval, the foster parent will set up a Meet and Greet for the applicant. If the Meet and Greet is successful, then the applicant will be able to take the BRBCR dog home for a 2-week trial period. If the trial period is successful, the adoption becomes official.
